# Lamina > Lamina is an AI content production platform for e-commerce and brand teams. Pass a brief and a brand kit; get back on-brand product shots, reels, virtual try-ons, and campaign banners. Available as a web app, REST API, SDK, and MCP server for AI agents. Lamina is the software alternative to creative-service subscriptions: what an agency or creative subscription delivers in weeks, a brand team ships same-day from a brief and a brand kit. Built for two audiences: (1) brand, marketing and e-commerce teams who need scalable, on-brand creative without a production studio or agency retainer; (2) developers and AI agents that need a single creative API instead of stitching together image, video, and try-on models. ## Core pages - [Lamina homepage — product overview and customer outcomes](https://uselamina.ai/): Product overview, capabilities, and customer outcomes. - [Lamina apps gallery — product shots, try-on, reels, banners, lifestyle scenes](https://uselamina.ai/apps): Catalog of creative apps (product photography, model try-on, reels, banners, lifestyle scenes). - [Lamina pricing plans and Enterprise options](https://uselamina.ai/pricing): Plans, credits, and enterprise options. - [Lamina for developers — REST API, SDK, MCP tools, agent integration](https://uselamina.ai/agents): REST API, SDK, MCP tools, agent integration, code samples. - [Lamina blog — tutorials, launches, and brand creative best practices](https://uselamina.ai/blog): Tutorials, launches, and brand creative best practices. - [Lamina use cases — product photography, try-on, agentic pipelines](https://uselamina.ai/use-cases): Scenario guides — AI product photography, virtual try-on for Shopify, agentic creative pipelines, and more. - [Lamina integrations with Shopify, Sanity, Webflow, Zapier, Notion, Slack](https://uselamina.ai/integrations): Partner integrations — Shopify, Sanity, Webflow, Zapier, Notion, Slack, and agent clients. - [Compare Lamina vs Superside, Photoroom, Botika, and other creative tools and services](https://uselamina.ai/compare): Honest head-to-head comparisons — Lamina vs Superside, Photoroom, Botika, Caspa, Higgsfield, Flair, and other AI creative tools and services. - [Lamina glossary — generative media, creative APIs, MCP, brand DNA](https://uselamina.ai/glossary): Canonical definitions for generative media, creative APIs, MCP, brand DNA, and related terms. - [Lamina FAQ — brand fidelity, pricing, integrations, and security questions](https://uselamina.ai/faq): Common questions about brand fidelity, pricing, integrations, and security. - [Lamina community — showcase, programs, events, and creator stories](https://uselamina.ai/community): Showcase, programs, and events. - [Open roles at Lamina — careers in AI, engineering, and design](https://uselamina.ai/careers): Open roles. - [Talk to Lamina sales and partnerships team](https://uselamina.ai/talk-to-us): Lead capture for sales and partnerships. ## Developer surface - [Lamina REST API and SDK overview for brief-to-campaign generation](https://uselamina.ai/agents): Brief + brand → campaign. Typed JSON, idempotent, streamable (SSE), deterministic with seed. - [Lamina developer documentation — API reference, SDK guides, MCP setup](https://docs.uselamina.ai): Full API reference, SDK guides, MCP setup, and recipes. The canonical source for endpoint shapes and authentication. - API base: `https://app.uselamina.ai` (versioned under `/v1`). - SDK: `@uselamina/sdk` (TypeScript) and a Python SDK. - CLI: `@uselamina/cli` — `lamina login`, `lamina content plan`, `lamina run`; `--json` on every command. - Hosted MCP (recommended): connect the v2 front door with `npx add-mcp https://app.uselamina.ai/mcp/agent/v2` (OAuth, no API key). Stdio-only clients bridge via `npx -y mcp-remote https://app.uselamina.ai/mcp/agent/v2`. The self-hosted `@uselamina/mcp` package is retired. - Agent skill: `npx @uselamina/skill`. ### Recommended MCP endpoint: v2 (7 task-level tools) Hosted at `https://app.uselamina.ai/mcp/agent/v2`. Lifecycle: `credits / brand context → plan → clarify → frozen plan + cost → explicit approval → execute within maxCredits → status → deliver`. The exactly-7 snake_case tools: `lamina_credits`, `lamina_brand_context`, `lamina_plan`, `lamina_execute`, `lamina_status`, `lamina_cancel`, `lamina_upload_asset`. `lamina_plan` produces a frozen plan + estimated cost and does NOT dispatch generation; only `lamina_execute` spends credits, capped by `maxCredits`. `lamina_status` waits ~25s per call and returns `timedOut: true` to retry; finished assets are at `outputs[].url`. ### Advanced MCP endpoint (30-tool) Hosted separately at `https://app.uselamina.ai/mcp/agent` — the optional 30-tool advanced surface for direct app/model/compose control, brand/app mutations, refinement, and checkout. Advanced `lamina_create` is plan-only; `lamina_run` dispatches the selected app. Both endpoints share the same parent OAuth resource. Scoring and publishing are REST-only (`POST /v1/content/score`, `POST /v1/publishing/publish`). ## Trust & legal - [Lamina security practices and infrastructure controls](https://uselamina.ai/security) - [Lamina privacy policy — data handling and user rights](https://uselamina.ai/privacy-policy) - [Lamina terms of service and acceptable use](https://uselamina.ai/terms-of-service) - [Lamina sub-processors and third-party data handlers](https://uselamina.ai/sub-processors) - [Lamina customer support and help center](https://uselamina.ai/support) ## Optional - [Expanded llms-full.txt with full capability and endpoint descriptions](https://uselamina.ai/llms-full.txt): Expanded version with full descriptions of capabilities, endpoints, and tool schemas. - [Lamina XML sitemap of all indexable pages](https://uselamina.ai/sitemap.xml) ## Latest articles - [AI try on clothes app: how virtual try-on actually works for ecommerce](https://uselamina.ai/blog/ai-try-on-clothes-app) (2026-08-01): Thinking about an AI try on clothes app for your store?
