Turn one product photo into ecommerce images and Reels
Use one approved product reference to create ecommerce hero images, detail shots, lifestyle scenes, and a vertical Reel in a 30-minute Lamina working session.

A single approved product photo can yield a studio hero, detail crop, lifestyle image, and vertical Reel in Lamina; you do not need to rebuild the product for every channel. Your job is not clever prompting. Lock the product facts once, queue variants with a clear use, and reject anything that changes what a shopper can actually buy.
Use 30 minutes as an operator timebox, not a render SLA. Lamina’s workflow covers creating, tracking, evaluating, and distributing assets, so run a controlled batch, record the SKU reference and brief, judge outputs against a fixed rubric, then send approved files only to Shopify, Drive, S3, Sanity, or a webhook.
What can a single product photo produce in Lamina?
One product reference can carry a tight ecommerce set: a clean listing hero, a material or hardware detail, a contextual lifestyle frame, and a 9:16 vertical Reel built from approved imagery. Lamina’s FAQ includes product shoots and vertical reels among its output types. Its product-picture-maker workflow starts with connected product images and a brand kit, not manual prompt engineering.
Do not burn ten versions on the same white-background shot. Give every output a job: the hero lets shoppers identify the item, the detail frame answers a texture or component question, the lifestyle frame adds context, and the Reel has to earn attention in a vertical feed. That makes a small batch usable on a PDP, collection page, paid social placement, and organic short-form post.

What needs to be locked before you generate ecommerce variants?
Lock the purchasable SKU before asking for a scene. Build one short product-truth checklist from the approved reference: silhouette and proportions; material and color; logo, label, and visible lettering; hardware and functional parts; packaging; and included accessories. The developer-authored reference-first workflow says to document those points, then check every output against them.
Set the rejection rule before the first render. Reject mismatched text, incorrect logo placement, altered component counts, invented accessories, changed packaging, and any unverified regulated or purchasing-relevant claim. Backgrounds, camera angles, lighting, and props can change only if they do not conceal or alter product facts. Photoroom’s vendor-published benchmark of 850 products found that even its best tested editing models held product accuracy in no more than 29% of generations.
Build the brand kit at the same time. Lamina’s benchmark guidance says to lock that kit first, add SKU-specific references, put a product-truth approval gate before selection, and derive channel variants only from approved images. Put approved colors, lighting references, typography direction, prop restrictions, and example imagery there. Do not cram the lot into one sprawling instruction.
30-minute Lamina workflow for one product photo
Minutes 0–5: prepare the approved reference
Upload the strongest product image you have, then attach the brand kit. Write the locked-SKU checklist once. Choose the exact SKU, colorway, pack size, and included parts; never use a reference that blends variants. The source image can be imperfect: Brand Designer and AI Creative Director Jamey Gannon specifically encourages creators to test ordinary, imperfect product photos rather than relying only on a polished PNG.

Minutes 5–8: set a four-asset brief
Set the batch: one studio hero, one detail view, one lifestyle scene, and one Reel sequence. Assign each asset its intended channel and crop before generating. Keep the studio hero placement-ready, use the detail image for one proof point, and choose a credible setting for the lifestyle frame.

Minutes 8–18: queue the images as a batch
Create hero, detail, and lifestyle variants from the approved reference and brand kit. Queue the next asset while the prior batch renders; these blocks measure operator effort, not serial render completion. Lamina telemetry puts median asset generation at about four minutes and the 90th percentile just under eight minutes. Queue a three-image batch. Do not sit there watching one render at a time.

Minutes 18–23: run the product-truth review
Put each candidate beside the reference. Reject it immediately if it fails the locked-SKU checklist. For accepted candidates, check the intended crop, contrast around the product edge, background cleanliness, and room for designed copy. Select images that can move forward without a product correction.

Minutes 23–28: build the vertical Reel from approved frames
Use approved stills for a 9:16 sequence: reveal, detail or motion, contextual use, and end frame. Keep captions, offer text, and CTAs out of top and bottom platform interface zones; hold roughly the upper 15% and lower 20% of the frame as no-copy areas unless the destination’s current placement spec says otherwise. Check the motion. It cannot crop the product, cover a label, or turn small hardware into visual noise.

Minutes 28–30: approve and distribute
Mark accepted files against the product-truth gate, name them by SKU and channel, and distribute that approved set only. Lamina’s FAQ lists Shopify, Drive, S3, Sanity, and webhooks as destinations. Generated captions, price claims, and product details still require a final merchandiser or brand review before publication.

What are the copy-ready briefs for the four core assets?
These are structured creative briefs, not required Lamina prompt syntax. Lamina’s product-picture-maker guidance says its apps can generate on-brand product photos from connected product images and a brand kit without prompt engineering; the wording below makes the intended result plain. Apply the locked-SKU checklist to every brief.
